Block Production plan in SNP horizon

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to stop system from generating planned orders within SNP Horizon in the light of Christmas vacations.

I understand that SNP doesn't read resource downtime, thus in order to achieve this, we added special rule to the calendar assigned to the respective resource such that resource is not available during the stipulated time.

In addition to this, we also created a time stream ID based on the calendar and assigned it to production calendar at location. Now, when I take a planning run, system created a planned order just outside the vacation duration, with a start date within  the vacation which is not desired.

When we convert the SNP order to PP/DS the start date correctly falls outside the vacation, not sure why this is happening.

Any idea how this can be controlled?

Realign attribute of CVC

HI SAP Experts,

 

I need to change one of the characteristics in the CVC of a product location. Brand, however, this is an attribute and not a character so i cannot use RLGCOPY. May I ask if there is any way I can realign?

Shelf Life of Batch Stocks in APO

Dear Expert

Need some inputs regarding shelf life data updated against stock.

I have maintained the integration model for Material, Stock, Batch and Inspection lot.I have maintained the shelf life details in material master.

Whenever I cif the stock. It is transferred to APO  as unrestricted which is fine. But the date it shows as 31.12.1969.And also its not updating the shelf life details column. Its blank.Attached the screen shot also.

Optimiser Issue--liveCache COM routine ended with own error code 41

Hi,

I am facing issue while running optimiser in interactive and batch mode. While writing result, optimiser is failing and giving error statement as--liveCache COM routine ended with own error code 41.

 

In result log i can see that optimsier has planned everything but not able to write data in live cache.

 

This issue is happening with some products only.

 

Can any one suggest me solution for this.

Deleting SNP Planned Orders (EE) in ECC

Hi Gurus,

Below is the issue.

  • We  have  a custom program which does below
    • Delete all  SNP Planned Orders (EE) Orders
    • Pick the file from Application server (AL11)
    • Upload New SNP Planned Orders (EE) Orders via File ( which has all Info)
  • Problem is these deleted SNP Planned Orders (EE) Orders are not deleted in ECC
  • During next Recompilation run, they come back to APO and hence count gets double.

 

So  any hint as why EE order are not deleted in ECC or How we can delete them in ECC?

Editing Sales orders and inquiry in APO SNP

We have a scenario, where we will have both Sales Orders & Forecast for a MTO scenario as below.

 

                            Day1 Day2  Day3 Day4 Day5 Day6

 

Customer Orders - 10         12   14          -     -    -

Forecast     -                                       16    18   20

 

Customer Orders are either can be inquiry or Sales Orders. And Forecast is basically planned in DP and will be released to SNP.

 

Sales order won't consume forecast. Production happens against Sales orders. Forecast is just used for component planning and will be planned in other systems(Not APO or ECC).

 

Normally Sales orders integrated in to SNP is not editable in SAP APO. But here customer has a requirement to edit the order quantity & also to shift the orders into different bucket(because of capacity limitation or priority).

 

Is there is any workaround to create the different order/order category with reference to Sales Order or Forecast? And once the change is done in APO, this can be applied to ECC orders by custom program? Please suggest.

Create macro always starting from Fiscal Year and not roll up

Hi Gurus,

 

We have a requirement of creating a macro,whose iterations should always start from 1st April and end on 31st March every year.

As and when the month progresses,the value for each month should get considered starting from April only.

 

Eg:

 

We have to write a macro for cumulative shortfall 2015=(Summation of Forecast starting April 2015)-(Summation of Sales History starting from April 2015)

 

Say the values in planning book uptil November 2015 is as below:

 

KF                                    April 2015     May 2015       June 2015    July 2015    August 2015    September 2015    October 2015   November 2015

 

Forecast                              100                    150               160          170               190                    200                         210                       

Sales History                         80                    100               150          150               160                   170                         180  

Cumulative Forecast             20                     70                 80           100               130                    160                        190

 

For June, Cumulative shortfall=(100+150+160)-(80+100+150)=80

 

As can be seem above,for every month the cumulative shortfall consists of forecast and history data starting from april.

There should be not rolling up of dates,all should start from april.

error while transfer of STO from APO to ECC

Hi,

 

We are getting errors while trying to transfer TLB STO's from APO to ECC. At ECC side we get error 'Item category not allowed with document type ZY03'.

 

The STO that we are creating is intercompany order.

 

Request to suggest the possible solutions on this.

This message is from the log of a BG job (macros).

 

What does it means if this happens for the first time?

 

Apparently nothing changed between today and yday when there was no such message.

 

The job BI_PROCESS_SCM_DP005 however finished successfully with decent logs... no reds. in the spool.

Copy order series data from one version to other version of different Model

I am trying to copy order series data from one planning version to other other planning version, both the versions belong to different models.

 

I Have tried through the /SAPAPO/VERCOP but failed as got the error message that, Versions belong to different models.

 

Please help me a way to copy the data.

Column width in Planning tabel

Dear experts,

 

I need a help in adjusting the column width for period labels in planning book. I have tried to go in to the design mode of Planning book and selected the

planning book and right click to default width and saved the settings. that worked fine for my user ID. how to apply the same settings for all users because the end users cannot go to design mode and adjust the column width.

 

Please let me know how the above issue can be resolved.

Ex-Post Method Outlier Correction causing spikes in Corrected History

We recently changed from forecasting in monthly buckets to weekly buckets and are running into an issue of large spikes in our corrected history.  The spikes seem to occur in the same 2 weeks, however its not accross all CVC's.  What could be causing the spikes?  See green line below

Split Demand to 2 SKU's

Dear Experts,

 

I have a requirement were we create a demend in APO for 1 finished SKU and transferd to ECC, Weather this can be slit in to 2 SKU's

in ECC and we the BOM structures all ready available in ECC.

 

My Question is weather the above requirement is possible, how?  or please suggest any other alternative way for doing it.

SNP Optimizer: Model dependent Master Data

Hello Gurus

 

I want to understand if we can run optimizer on non-active planning version which is assigned to non-active model.

 

This is because we want to simulate various optimizer results based on different costs assigned to master data (resources / Transporation Lanes). We do not wish to change the master data in the productive system for the purpose of this simulation and hence the need for a different model. So whenever we want to model various scenarios we will just play around with the non-active model in the productive system and copy the costs once the model is finalized by business.

 

Let me know your thoughts.
