Need to use Transportation zone for TLB

Hi Gurus,

 

In my current assignment, i have a requirement to club destination locations for Transport Load Building.

I have tried to make this scenario work in APO by creating a transportation zone ZB12 (location type : 1005).

 

Here, A001 is start location and B001,B002 are the destination location present at same zone.

So i club this B001,B002 and create it under Transportation zone ZB12.

 

For this clubbing, i have defined Hierarchy master data for 2 levels so it is connected them as below :

ZB12---> B001,B002.

Attaching screenshot of Hierarchy created.

 

I have also maintained transport relevant hierarchy for TLB Application also.

 

But when i am trying to do the TLB in TLB interactive screen i am facing the below error :

" Error determining the locations in transport zone ZB12".

 

Can you please guide me if any settings missed by me while configuration.

You inputs are highly appreciated.

Can any body explain what does start date means in /SAPAPO/RRP3

Hello Expert,

 

We we create purchase requisition in SAPAPO/RRP3 as shown in below screen shot-rrp3.PNG

 

What does start date 07.01.2016 indicates.

 

One more thing when we double click on purchase requisition-

Can any body help on this?

Alternative Sequence should also CIF in SNP PDS

Hi Experts,

 

As per standard functionality, SNP PDS can only be used for linear chain of operation.

But it is possible we can CIF alternative resource to SNP PDS via badi /SAPAPO/CURTO_SNP as i read in old SCN posts.

 

Can you please elaborate which parameter i need to change in the corresponding BADI inorder to achieve the desired result.

And also is there any change require from ECC side also.

(If i am correct,Multiple SNP PDS should be generated in this case.)

 

Need your help on this.

Conversion of plan orders to process orders

I am trying to convert plan orders to process orders through FM /SAPAPO/RRP_ORDER_SET_CNVIN.

However I am not able to see the order getting converted.

DP Live Cache question

Hello DP experts

 

I am trying to understand role of live cache capacity in Demand Planning speed and performance - the factors of  number of CVCs, users , batch jobs etc.

 

Question1  - if a planning area is added whereby let's say CVCs , batch jobs and users are all doubled in an existing DP environment, is it fair to assume that the required live cache memory should also roughly double for the same level of performance?

Question 2 - All the planning area data is already in the live cache. What exactly happens structurally when a selection is loaded in the data view-does live cache capacity play a role in speedily loading the selection in the data view? or is it something like  just the CPU processing speed- outputting the data to the screen?

Saved Alert Situation /AMON is dated

Though the job READ_ALERTS _BATCH runs after alert generation (macros DB Alerts) daily, the date seen in saved alert situation bar is dated. i.e. I should see 2nd Jan today but I see 28th Dec alerts.

 

What could be wrong. The said jobs run in the background daily and nothing wrong with logs anywhere. The horizons etc are all ok.

Auto time stream generation after calendar change

Hi All,

 

We have a need to automatically generate time streams by report in background.

 

Normally any change (especially holiday changes or maintenance changes) in calendar is updated first in ECC calendar which is then updated in APO calendar. This change has to be included in the generated time stream which is already created out of those calendars. At present this time stream generation is happening manually when users report any discrepancy finding that they have found in the planning results (which would have old time stream generated not having the calendar change). Sometimes it becomes late for correcting the planning situation. So we would want APO to generate these time streams through regular background job whenever the corresponding calendar has been changed.

 

Is there any option / alternative available to do this ?

Cyclical DP Macro Help

APO DP Macro Help

 

I have a problem where I have created a 2 step macro where the result of step 1 is an input into step 2. The result of step 2 is then an input to the NEXT TIME BUCKET of step 1 and so on..(e.g. Step 2 result for March16, affects the Step 1 for April 16)

(Its a replenishment forecast calculation followed by a stock projection)

 

 

The standard macro logic appears to run step one for all periods before moving onto step 2 for all periods. Which does not meet my requirements.

 

In my mind I have 3 options, somehow combine 2 separate tasks into the same step.. (how can this be done?)

 

OR

 

Find a way where the macro will look at one period for BOTH steps before moving onto the next

 

OR

 

Have a macro function that will run the macro 24 times automatically. (Loop?) (I'm am unable to understand the coding for loop when its set number of times)

setup matrix

Hi experts,

 

I want to create a setup matrix. If I want to insert the plan (transaction /n/SAPAPO/CDPSC7) the following error message come:

 

No PPM exists for the specified plan PPM_1_PRO and product E1000

Message no. /SAPAPO/CDPSMATRIX015

 

But the PPM exists. And if I start the optimizer, I can see in the detail of the "Production(Planned)", that the optimizer find and used this PPM.

 

The aim is for me, to create blocks.

 

Can you helb me ?

Return STO considered as requirement

Hi Experts,

 

The STO is returned to the source location , because of some reason.

It appears as Requirement (-ve quantity) in MD04 . And also it is considered as requirement in SCM(EG. appears in  RRP3).

 

Any way ?  it can be excluded from requirements in SCM planning. Because CTM considers it for planning.

 

Or it needs to be controlled in ECC only?

Execute a part of code one time only

Hi experts,

 

I have a user exit in transaction VA01, when the user enter the transaction and enter a PO number, this is PO is checked if it exist or not, if there is an error or warning message is displayed. (the type of message depanned of value in table on SM30).

That's works perfeclty and the message is displayed just one time.

But when the user enter a material, the user exit is re-launched and the warning message will be displayed again, and that it for all new enter material.

 

I don't know were and how I can get that parts of code will be executed one time, or to display the warning message jsut one time.

my part of code is like this:

if sy-subrc is initial.         case lw_audat-l_zoff.           when 'N'. "No control           when 'E'.
 *   Error Message Purchase order number in document number: & already exists             message e115(v4) with lw_vbeln.           when 'W'.
 *   Warning Message Purchase order number in document number: & already exists             if sy-msgty ne 'W'.               message w115(v4) with lw_vbeln.             endif.         endcase.
 *   Purchase order number in document number: & already exists
 *        MESSAGE e115(v4) WITH lw_vbeln.        endif.

The check in SY-MGSTY is here because previously the message was displayed twice.

How to make transaction editable in Production

Currently we have transaction /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK as transportable. We need to make it client specific and allow users to update it in production instead of importing it from development to production

CVCs created after removing CVCs for particular charactorstic

Hello Experts,

 

our project is integrated with different interfaces. other interface guy reported that they are receiving blank data for one charactorstic from their system end.

 

same thing we identified the issue and found that wrong CVCs created with dummy value for that charactoristic.

 

Those CVCs (with Dummy Value) has been removed from Planning Area. And updated user next time will not receive blanks.

 

here we found 1 issue, after some time CVCs  for the same dummy cvcs generated on the same day.

 

I verified all data flows which the cvcs are generating for that MPOS. Couldnt find any infocube does not have the dummy value.

 

What could be the reason or what is the route cause of generating again the CVCs for that dummy value even though dummy CVCs deleted from MPOS.

Note 1880837 is successfully implemented in our system. But still i could see the same error

LiveCache COM routine ended with own error code 59 in my deployment log. Can anyone help me on this :-(

Vendor capacity planning with CTM

Hi

Did any one use subcontracting Vendor capacity in relation to CTM?

We use SNP CTM with standard subcontracting solution ( using SNP PDS and subcontracting inforecords/contracts). We have a requirement to consider the vendor capacity during CTM planning run.

 

I searched around in this forum and the web but did not find any thing related to subcontracting vendor capacity with CTM run.

I came across an article in sdn on vendor capacity but that is with heuristics. I found one more at scmfocus.com but that is very vague with no details...

 

Appreciate any ideas/suggestions/references.

Multi-level ATP

Hi all

 

I am trying to set up the ML ATP. I have done the following:

 

Check Mode: Multi level atp

Check Instruction: re recreate receipts

In the  product and component: atp group and planning procedure 5.

 

But when creating the sales order in ecc, it is checking only first level, and I don´t get component availavility.

 

Any help is apreciated
