We have some purchase orders & production orders in the system with past delivery dates. How the SNP Optimizer will consider these procurement proposals while doing distribution planning?
Will it create requisitions assuming that the stock will be delivered today or system will consider these back dated orders?

Hi Experts,
I noticed that there is a big bulk of order generated by CTM in my Distribution Center.
Example:
Forecas
05.2016 = 10,000
06.2016 = 20,000
07.2016 = 50,000
08.2016 = 10,000
09.2016 = 20,000
CTM generated the following orders:
05.2016 = 10,000
06.2016 = 20,000
07.2016 = 80,000
Why did CTM not create the orders for periods 7 to 9 but instead bulked up on 07.2016? The order is too huge.

If you see this snapshot, you would notice that there are a few products-location combinations which have Sales Orders, Dist. Recipts planned & confirmed. The challenge is how do I find "which products are these" ?
I tried to randomly click on individual pdt-loc but didn't get lucky.
I tried to put a drill down by used the HAT icon with TOTAL (tick) but it ran for a long long time & fetched nothing.
I tried using /sapapo/rrp1 with past 30 days horizon & plant, but it ran again a long long time & yielded nothing.
Is there a way in APO (similar to ECC, where in I give the plant name in VBAP &/or VBAK & it gives me a list of all products which has an OPEN SALES order) to get to the product which has the open sales order, though some tables?
How can we get to the products which has these Open Sales Orders?

In Like profile definition, we do assign ' Reference products ' whose history will be considered for Lifecycle planning.
In Recent days there is a change in Reference products assigned to like profile.
How could i track these changes for like profile definition ?
I do not see any change log / Version management for like profile definitions.

To view the VERSION in interactive planning in SNP we can click the icon show/hide fixed characteristic.
Is there any way to DEFAULT THIS ON? so that the button does not have to be clicked manually each time to be able to view and check which version you are using?

I am trying to run CTM and I was able to generate orders the first time. When I deleted the PRs and Planned Orders and rerun CTM again, it no longer creates any orders.I have not changed anything, just deleted the receipts and not the demand.

I have a question on the Macro.
We have two Collective Macro in the System. We now set a condition that if Business Choose 1 then Execute the Collective Macro 1 or else execute the collective Macro. Could some help with logic on it? Is there a way to call a Macro in an existing Macro?

The requirements is as below -
Columnwise sum is required to be calculated. Example is given below -
There are 4 locations each will contains planned order quantitied on each day.
Sum of the planned order quantities on each day is required to be calculated.
e.g.
P1 - 10 40 50
P2 - 20 40 30
P3 - 15 30 20
P4 - 40 25 10
Sum - 85 135 110
I am aware that the default sum is available in the planning book. But the 'sum' is going to be used in a macro which will be executed at a detailed level.
e.g. Percentage of planned order quantity is to be caluculated on each day.
For P1 on day 1 the percentage = (10/85) * 100
Is there any standard function which can calculate this percentage day wise ?
If not, how the sum on each day can be calculated so that it can be used to calculate the % ?

I have a question regarding release from DP to SNP, please find below the scenario
1. The DP planning book is in monthly buckets i.e. Demand planning is executed in montky buckets
2. While releasing the demand from DP to SNP the demand has to be equally split in the available weeks of the month. the demand is released on the first day of each week i.e. Monday.
Issue:
The issue is that in case of weeks where the month is changing the demand for the days in the week for the next month is getting released on the Monday of the week which belongs to the previous month. As result of this there is a mismatch between DP and SNP in monthly bucket.
I am using the below distribution function in the release
Example: demand for march is 310 i.e. 10 per day and April is 300 i.e. 10 per day.
31st March is a Monday, while releaseing the demand in the last week of March the demand will be calculated as 10 for march and 60 for 6 days of april in that week. so the total demand in SNP planning book for march month will be 360 and for april will be 240 in monthly bucket.
The requirement is that the demand number should not change in monthly bucket between SNp and DP and should be split in weekly bu cket within the month.
Can you please provide on what is the best possible approach to achieve this result.

I am trying to find a way to display sales orders on requested delivery date in SNP Data View. This will be helpful for sales orders which have a current Availability date but past due Requested delivery date where i need to make macro calculations based on RDD. I appreciate your thoughts and inputs.
I am able to see the RDD of sales orders in RRP3. I don't need the Sales Orders Key Figure by itself showing on RDD in Data View but a time series value on the RDD works as well.

Dear Experts,
We just had our update in our customized SNP planning area wherein we added new time series key figures and also created new macros in our customized SNP planning book/data view. We followed the rule i.e. de-initializing first the SNP planning area and did the changes and initializing it again. The book is okay and key figures are fine as well as the new macros.
However, when we tried to run SNP heuristics (both foreground and background), system is not showing any heuristic plans in APO planning book (i.e. Distribution Receipt and Demand <Planned>) but the plans are transferring to ECC (looking at MD04). I'm 100% certain because I compared the log of the snp background vs the results in SRL.
Upon reconciliation, we are also not seeing any errors (my expectation is that column 'Not in APO' will show some numbers since SNP stock transfers are available only in ECC).
Upon extracting data via datasource using RSA3 also, the key figure Distribution Receipt and Demand <Planned> have NO values at all.
Can you please let me know if the activity of the SNP planning area has something to do with it? However, I'm not 100% convinced since the issue is only available at certain t-lanes and the other t-lanes are okay. By the way, the affected t-lanes has a common setup wherein the source location is a vendor location, and target is either Plant or DC.

Standard PDS CIF sends ECC Routing Scheduling Formula to APO PDS. However, we want to send ECC Routing Capacity Formula to APO PDS instead to match how we are doing capacity planning in ECC. Can anyone suggest a BADI / Method for the PDS CIF to make this happen? Would it be a BADI on the ECC side or APO side?

we have product family and product design as characteristics in the planning book and below is the behavior that i see. Is this standard ?
When selecting multiple product families within the header, no further drill down is possible without viewing the product design for all product families. In other words, if I select family 1 and family 2 as my families and then select "Display All" under the product design level, all designs for all families explode out instead of my manually selected family designs. Additionally, if just family 1 and family 2 is selected as the family, even manually selecting the designs specific to these families still explodes the design level to all families and all designs. can anyone please share some thoughts on how to address this issue.

Can you shed some light on what Enterprise Inventory Optimization from SmartOps offers that standard APO doesn't and how they compliment each other? Some decks / pre-sales materials / links / case studies appreciated. I could only come across some high level marketing talk on sap website.
Also advise if there is some education and certification on EIO. Years ago this firm reached us for selling some products and I was pretty impressed with their business sense, UI and presentation. I am aware SAP acquired it.

We are getting Optimizer: Communication Error: Error Calling the Engine while running optimizer for Particular Optimizer Model.
We have 6 Optimizer models, 5 models are completed but only 1 model is failing due to Optimizer: Communication Error: Error Calling the Engine.

Optimizer has input as Planner codes.
Anyone faced this issue in Optimizer?

Hello Experts,
There are some planned orders of Finished products that are created in MPS run in ECC and CIFed ECC to APO through the CIF integration job.
Strategy group of finished products is 52 and MRP Type is non-X0 (M0,M1)
These finished products have BOM components for which strategy group is not maintained. When the integration model is run, the queues get stuck in queue manager with error “No requirements strategy for material XX”. This XX material is a BOM component that is used in the finished product.
I don’t quite understand why this is happening. There are 2 questions in my mind:
1) Why CIF of planned orders of finished products is considering strategy group of BOM components at all?
2) Also, do I need to maintain the strategy group as well for BOM components in this case. (I assume that as for BOM components, there is dependent demand, strategy group shouldn't be mandatory)
Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.
